摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescence device wherein productivity is improved by easily changing the size of a light emitting area, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A transparent positive electrode layer 24, a positive-hole transport layer 25, a luminous layer 26, and a light reflecting cathode layer 27 are laminated on an outside surface of a support rod 23 by turns to form a square pole-like EL rod 22. The cathode layer 27 of each EL rod 22 is connected with a conductive connection layer SC connected with a common electrode, the positive electrode layer 24 of each EL rod 22 is connected with each pixel electrode 21 formed on the transparent substrate 11 respectively so that an axial center C of each EL rod 22 is inclined only by the inclination angle ofθto a direction of a normal line of the transparent substrate 11, respectively.
