PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive photodetector circuit and optical pickup system capable of accurately monitoring laser power even when a laser radiation angle from a laser beam source is drifted by temperature rise, stably performing the high multiple speed recording and high speed recording of an optical disk and contributing to power consumption reduction. SOLUTION: The photodetector circuit monitors the emitted light quantity of the laser of the optical disk device, at least three light receiving regions are arrayed, and a first light receiving cell formed by connecting the light receiving regions on the outer side by metal wiring and a second light receiving cell formed of the region on the inner side are provided.
