PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer information recording medium capable of shortening read interruption time when a read point moves to a new information recording layer and reducing a storage capacity required for a memory used at the time, and its reproducing method. SOLUTION: The reproducing method is a method for reading each information recording layer from one direction for the multilayer information recording medium for which two or more information recording layers are laminated. When performing focus jump to another information recording layer to be reproduced next at a certain position of the information recording layer which is being reproduced, the read start position of another information recording layer is within the range of a radius 1mm with p as a center, where p is the read end position of the information recording layer which is being reproduced.
