PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resident program for performing state management or the like of a document as a tool supporting real-time communication via the document. SOLUTION: A document 1A and a document information management device 2A belong to a network segment 10A, and a document 1B and a document information management device 2B belong a network segment 10B. Furthermore, the document 1A, 1B includes a broadcast function of its own document information, respectively. Meanwhile, the document information management devices 2A, 2B comprise functions such as transmission information acquiring means 3A, 3B, document receiving means 4A, 4B, document initiating means 5A, 5B, document information holding means 6A, 6B, document information exchange means 7A, 7B, and the like. In such a configuration, regarding information held by the document information management devices 2A, 2B, information held by the other person is acquired by the document information exchange means 7A, 7B and the acquired data and the held data can be merged.
