PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a compression self-ignition internal combustion engine capable of efficiently raising compression end temperature while inhibiting deterioration of drivability. SOLUTION: This control device for the compression self-ignition internal combustion engine is provided with an intake branch pipe length change means 17 changing length of an intake branch pipe 11 from a surge tank 12 to an intake port 8 of each cylinder, and a compression end temperature estimation means estimating compression end temperature based on values of operation parameter of the internal combustion engine. Length of the intake branch pipe is changed by the intake branch pipe length change means when compression end temperature estimated by the compression end temperature estimation means is lower than limit temperature.
