PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust configuration for a vehicle, reducing restriction of arrangement or the like while making variable an exhaust gas merge length which is the length to a point where exhaust gas from different banks merge. SOLUTION: The exhaust configuration 10 for the vehicle includes a right bank exhaust pipe 22 and a left bank exhaust pipe 24 independently communicated to exhaust parts of a left and a right bank 14, 16 of the internal combustion engine 12. Rear side opening ends 22A, 22B of the left bank exhaust pipe 24 and the right bank exhaust pipe 22 are set at a second merging part making exhaust gas merged at a position of distance L1 from an exhaust part of the engine 12, and is provided in a second expansion chamber of a muffler 26. Through holes 22B, 24B as a first merge part making exhaust gas merged at distance L2 from the exhaust parts of the left bank exhaust pipe 24 and the right bank exhaust pipe 22 is provided in a first expansion chamber 32 of the muffler 26.
