PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a faucet which maintains its good designability even if an external force is applied thereto, and is excellent in chemical resistance. SOLUTION: The faucet 5 has a cover portion formed on a surface thereof. The cover portion contains (A) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of silica and a mean chemical composition formula of R<SB>p</SB>SiO<SB>(4-p)/2</SB>(where R represents a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, or a monovalent organic radical, and p represents a numerical value satisfying the relationship of 0<p<4, respectively), (B) plastic polymer particles, and (C) a compound containing Zr element. Herein the plastic polymer particles are dispersed in the cover portion in a manner hardly making contact with each other, and with respect to the weight ratio between (A) and (C), the content of (C) in terms of ZrO<SB>2</SB>is set to not less than 0.5 pts.wt. and not more than 20 pts.wt. , to the content of (A) of 100 pts.wt. in terms of SiO<SB>2</SB>.
