PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard electronic control device, capable of executing a specific task, responding to fluctuation of actual load factor of a CPU in real time. SOLUTION: In this onboard electronic control device comprising the CPU executing the specific task in interruption processing based on a pulse signal periodically inputted as external interruption signal, a task management means which varies the execution period of the specific task according to the load factor of the CPU comprises a surplus time counting means 13 provided in another task lower in priority than the interruption processing, an execution period setting means 14 setting the execution period according to the counted surplus time, and a specific task execution means 15 permitting execution of the specific task based on the set execution period.
