PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device hardly disconnecting wirings by reducing a level difference on the surface of a terminal area. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal panel with first and second transparent substrates stuck together by a sealant, a display area 16 surrounded by the sealant and the terminal area 19 in which the wiring 18 is formed are formed on the surface of the first transparent substrate 11 opposite to the second transparent substrate and a film 23a between wiring is provided with the wiring 18 except an externally connected part of the terminal area 19.
