PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparation of a proton conductive membrane, carrying out sulfonation in a short time in a condition hard to cause side reactions, and imparting a high proton conductivity even having the same ion exchanging capacity, and to provide an electrolyte membrane for fuel cell by using the same. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for preparation of the proton conductive membrane which introduces proton conductive group through sulfonation using an alkylbenzene sulfonic acid to a grafted membrane having a grafted chains of vinyl monomers to inside of a fluorinated polymer based material.
