PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce missorting of sheets in case the two sheets picked up can not be sensed and not eliminated, by sensing the length of the sheets and delivering them in the post-transport. SOLUTION: First the passing time of sheet(s) is counted when the sheet(s) passes A-point, and the length LA of the sheet(s) is measured (S01), and when passes B-point, the length LB of the sheet(s) is measured (S02). The data of the A-point and B-point obtained by measuring is stored classified every mail No., and the difference between the stored lengths LA and LB of the sheet(s) is determined by Formula 2 (S03). If the result from determination reveals that a difference equal to or over the double-pick allowable value (y at S03), the double-pick determining information is set (S04). This double-pick determining information is checked by a transport/sorting control part at the time of stacking in a stacker storage part, and the double-picked sheets are stacked on an OVF, which allows reducing missorting originating from double picking.
