PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized system capable of confirming correctly whether image data are stored or not. SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition system comprises a receiver 3 for receiving image data from a capsule endoscope 2 and a monitor device 7 for displaying the image data received by the receiver 3. The receiver 3 has an image judgment section 40 for judging whether the acquired image data are valid/invalid, a data generation section 41 for generating output data by adding a judgment result to an image signal, and a differential transmission I/F 44 for transmitting the output data to the monitor device 7. The monitor device 7 has a judgment result detection section 75 for detecting the judgment result contained in the image signal or the output data of the receiver 3, and a display section 76 for displaying image data on the basis of the image signal and information corresponding to the judgment result.
