An improved beater tool having a blade (18) extending from an outer edge (12) of the frame (15) of a motor-driven beater (10) is described. The beater/blade combination is sized and configured so that, during a planetary mixing process, the blade (18) will scrape batter or other ingredient mixtures from the interior walls (24) of a mixing bowl (20) in which the beater (10) is operating. The scraping allows the batter or other mixture to be driven toward the interior (22) of the bowl and thus provides improved contact with the beater, promoting better mixing. |
