A large rectangular sheet (1) made of soft rubber or a suitable synthetic material is provided with an appropriate number of larger (2) and smaller openings (3). The larger openings (2) are used for inserting suction cups required for attaching the mat (1) to a wall. Bundles of bristles are guided through the smaller holes (3). The mat (1) can be used in a dry condition for a back massage by simply sliding along its surface. When attached to a bathroom wall it can be provided with soap or a shower lotion and used for cleaning.
