<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a color filter which produces no display defect with simple processing in a semi-transmissive color filter with a structure comprising a laminated coloring layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the color filter for a liquid crystal display device which has pixels with a plurality of colors disposed on a substrate, wherein a transmissive region and a reflective region are present in a pixel, steps (A) and (B) are sequentially conducted, that is, a step to form a coloring layer only on the transmissive region of a pixel of at least one color on the substrate by applying a coloring ink thereto with an ink jet method, and drying it (A), and a step to form a photosensitive coloring layer by applying a photosensitive color paste to the coloring layer and drying it (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
