PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which stabilizes sensitivity of a toner concentration sensor by canceling an external magnetic field and the toner concentration sensor which does not influence the flow of the developer. SOLUTION: The developing device is arranged by being approximated to a photoreceptor drum. The developing device has a developing container and has a developing sleeve arranged opposite to the photoreceptor drum, a magnetic means arranged in the developing sleeve and a sensor which detects toner concentration in the developing device. The developing device further has a magnetic neutralization means for neutralizing a magnetic field exerted to the sensor by the magnetic means to cancel the external magnetic field.
