PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for managing multimedia contents that are saved in a digital multimedia apparatus. SOLUTION: The multimedia content managing method comprises steps of separately saving a multimedia content of a first type for which a save period is not set and a second type for which a save period is set, and when the total amount of the saved multimedia content becomes insufficient, analyzing a user's save space utilization pattern to decide whether the content of the first type or the content of the second type is to be deleted. Thereby, the undesired deletion of the content can be prevented to the utmost and therefore a user's load for managing the content one by one can be alleviated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
