PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem as a problem in aspect of reliability of a compressor wherein a phenomenon called as liquid-back of sucking a liquid refrigerant in the compressor occurs in some positions of a pressure reducing valve at a trouble time when a pressure reducing device is troubled in an air conditioner, and a problem in aspect wherein a trouble of an electronic control type expansion valve is not acquired sufficiently by only an operation situation in service. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, a refrigerating cycle is constituted of the compressor, an indoor side heat exchanger, the electronic control type expansion valve, and an outdoor side heat exchanger, and the compressor is inverter-driven. An opening-directional electrification of the electronic control type expansion valve is executed as a trouble diagnostic mode for the electronic control type expansion valve in the service, in the air conditioner.
