PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, an image processing unit, and a program capable of color matching easily and precisely regardless of the presence or absence of irregularities in illumination when capturing images. SOLUTION: In a color processing parameter editing device 2 for generating color processing conditions used when performing color processing to an image captured by a digital camera 1, a color chart and a chart for correcting irregularities in illumination are imaged under the same illumination by the digital camera 1, and the color data of the first image obtained by imaging the color chart and the color data of the second image obtained by imaging the chart for correcting irregularities in illumination are inputted. A correction section 204 corrects the color data of the first image by using the color data of the second image and inputs target color data corresponding to the corrected color data of the first image.
