The mosaic (1) has a spherical support with several recesses and several triangular-shaped mosaic elements (3) which have insert lugs on the underneath to fit into the recesses. The recesses and insert lugs have different cross-sectional configurations so that only matching lugs can be inserted in matching recesses. The mosaic elements can have different surface structures and colours.
