The invention relates to a device comprising ramps and bolts, which blocks the rotational movement between two parts in one direction, releasing same when the direction of rotation is reversed.The invention can be applied to the handles of tools that are used to tighten and loosen any type of bolt, thereby replacing jack or cog systems. The invention can be used as a bicycle cog, replacing the jack system of known cogs. The invention can also be used as a self-locking device in differentials, such as to enable a vehicle to transmit the tractive force in a uniform manner, even when the vehicle is turning in a circle or has one wheel in the air, all of the available torque being transmitted through the single support wheel. The inventive system enables vehicles to be managed on different surfaces, such as on mud, on snow, in the mountains, on asphalt as well as in competition, whereby all of the available torque can be transmitted at any time. This cannot be achieved at present with existing devices because, if the differential block is very strong, forward traction is possible but sharp bends cannot be taken, and, if the differential block is released in order to make a turn, traction is lost between the drive wheels on different adhesion surfaces.
