<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal complex material easy to synthesize and affording good photoelectric properties, and to provide a photoelectric device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The metal complex material comprises a neutral metal complex or metal complex structure having, as a partial structure, a structure of the general formula (1) and having at least two multidentate ligands. This material is characterized by having charge transporting ability. In the general formula (1), M is a transition metal atom or lanthanoid metal atom; Ar1 and Ar2 are each a (substituted) bivalent aromatic ring; X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>are each P(Ar3)(Ar4), S or O, wherein Ar3 and Ar4 are each a (substituted) monovalent aromatic ring; and dashed lines denote coordinate bonds between the multidentate ligands and the metal atom, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
