PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress implementation of unnecessary route guide in a route guide apparatus implementing route guide in the form of audio and imagery. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus acquires information concerning with the radii centered at the guiding onset site or the departing site (S130) from a user at the time of setting an orientation route. Moreover, when information is acquired on guiding onset site, the site indicated from information is set as the guiding onset site. When information is acquired on the radii, in an area within the radius centered at the departing site, a crossing in the direction toward a destination nearest to the outer border of the area as the guiding onset site. Furthermore, after information on the radii of a guiding termination site or the destination as a base point is acquired from the user (S140), the navigation apparatus sets the guiding termination site on the basis of information concerned. Finally, the route from the above guiding onset site to the guiding termination site among several routes from the departing site to the destination is guided selectively in the form of audio and imagery (S150 and S160).
