PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cosmetic composition for treating or caring for the skin, especially a composition giving the skin uniform complexion. SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition comprises, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one cosmetic active agent and colored particles consisting of at least one inorganic pigment arranged inside a matrix. This composition has an opacity of less than or equal to 35%. A cosmetic treatment method using this composition and the uses of this composition especially for lightening or unifying the complexion of the skin and for correcting the appearance of skin marks and dyschromias are also provided, respectively.
