PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling to efficiently select a partial image for which user desires to authenticate the electronic signature. SOLUTION: The technique is provided with an input step, a step of inputting image data representing an image, for inputting image data also containing electronic signature, corresponding to at least the partial image; a display step of causing a display means to display an image consisting of a plurality of parts; a selecting step of causing a partial image to be the target of authentication of the electronic signature from the image displayed by the display means; a signature-authenticating step for authenticating the electronic signature corresponding to the selected partial image; and an authentication result display step for displaying the result of the authentication by the authenticating means.
