PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot for a constant velocity universal joint capable of improving fatigue resistance and wear resistance and capable of sufficiently following high-speed rotation. SOLUTION: This boot for the constant velocity universal joint is provided with a boot body 21 and a ring shaped body 22 fitted on the boot body 21. The boot body 21 is equipped with a large diameter part 23 attached to an opening end of an outer side joint member 2 of the constant velocity universal joint 1, a small diameter part 24 attached to a shaft 3 connected to an inner side joint member 4 of the constant velocity universal joint 1, and a bellows part 27 disposed between the large diameter part 23 and the small diameter part 24 and having a crest 25 and a bottom 26 alternately arranged along the axial direction. A boot material of the boot body 21 is a thermoplastic elastomer having type-D durometer hardness of 35 or more and 50 or less according to JIS K6253. The ring shaped body 22 comprising a resin or an elastic material harder than the boot body 21 is fitted at least on the bottom on the large diameter part 23 side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
