摘要 Information of an object can be measured from remote points in order to specify a position in an arbitrary space by human control. An object information sensing apparatus ( 5 ) measures information of objects ( 4, 4 ', and 4 ''), which configure at least one pointing device ( 1, 1 'and 1 ''), in order to specify a position in an arbitrary space by human control from remote points. The object information sensing apparatus ( 5 ) includes generation units ( 6 and 7 ) for generating and radiating electromagnetic waves, a delay unit ( 10 ) for temporally delaying electromagnetic waves, and a unit ( 8 ) for detecting electromagnetic waves. A delay time is found by using a generated electromagnetic wave ( 14 ), an electromagnetic wave ( 15 ) that is reflected from the objects ( 4, 4 ', and 4 ''), and an electromagnetic wave that is delayed by the delay unit ( 10 ). Relative relationships between the object information sensing apparatus ( 5 ) and the objects ( 4, 4 ', and 4 '') are thus detected.
