AC SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR INITIAL MAGNETIC POLE POSITION ESTIMATION DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

There is provided an AC synchronous motor initial magnetic pole estimation device not using a magnetic pole detector including a thrust or torque pattern generation unit for generating a thrust or torque pattern, a magnetic position instruction generation unit for generating a magnetic pole position instruction, and a position detection unit for detecting the position of the AC synchronous motor. The estimation device can accurately estimate the initial magnetic pole position in a short time not depending on the load fluctuation. An AC synchronous motor initial magnetic pole position estimation method is also provided. The estimation device includes a magnetic pole position correction unit (8) for correcting the magnetic pole position instruction and a thrust or torque pattern correction unit (9) for correcting the thrust or torque pattern and estimates the initial magnetic pole position by repeating the correction.
