摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a corn of a tapered roller bearing, capable of increasing the yielding of materials with less punching waste, reinforcing the large diameter side flange of the corn, and reducing the output and the size of a machine used when its diameter is increased. <P>SOLUTION: After a ductile metal lump is forged, it is punched out to form an annular member 1 that has a cylindrical surface 3 with a substantially equal outer diameter. The inner peripheral surface of the annular member is formed of a first cylindrical surface part 5, a conical surface part 6 arranged continuously with the first cylindrical surface part 5 and increasing in the inner diameter, as separating from the first cylindrical surface part 5, and a second cylindrical surface part 7, arranged continuously with the conical surface part 6 and having substantially the same inner diameter.
