<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character display device by which a user can attempt to relatively easily store a desired screen image as a image data file. <P>SOLUTION: A condition identifying data storage section 24 stores the condition identifying data for identifying the condition of a character. A first image showing the mode of the character in the condition identified by the condition identifying data is generated and shown in the display section 34 in the case where the condition identifying data is renewed.
