<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption of a disk and extend the life of the disk in a storage device. <P>SOLUTION: This storage device 100 comprises one or more disks 105 connected to a host computer through a network 120 and performing read/write operations during rotation, and a control part controlling rotation of the disks 105.
