PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the information of an external device more easily. SOLUTION: The panel control program comprises an execution program 41 and data 42 for an external device. The execution program 41 is a main program for executing the control of an operating panel, and the data 42 for the external device are constituted of an aggregate of the display information of the external device. The panel control program 32 reads in display information displayed on the operating panel from the data 42 for the external device and executes display processing according to the execution program 41. When the display processing is executed according to the execution program 41, external device information read out from the data 42 for the external device is displayed on a UI screen of the operating panel. Since the information of the external device is incorporated previously, the information can be displayed easily according to the panel control program of an image forming apparatus.
