<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the temperature rise of an image forming part, which is caused by the conveyance of high-temperature air from a fixing means to the image forming part, by supplying gas from a cooling means. <P>SOLUTION: In the case that the cooling means is an ejected paper cooling fan for blowing air to a transfer material after fixing in an image forming apparatus including the image forming part for forming an image, a fixing roller 10 for fixing a toner image transferred to the transfer material, and the cooling means for cooling the transfer material with the toner image fixed thereto, a flapper 21 is configured so that air from ejected paper cooling fans 30 and 31 can be stopped to be directly supplied to the fixing roller 10. High-temperature air is prevented from being directly supplied from the fixing part to the image forming part, whereby the temperature rise of the image forming part is prevented. Toner clogging or the like in a transfer cleaner part is avoided. Since air from the fans 30 and 31 is not directly supplied to the fixing roller 10, unnecessary power consumption due to cooling the fixing roller 10 is avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
