<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid expansion in a device dimension and reduction of throughput when attaining an IC card printer by adding, to the conventional card printer, a function for writing electronic information to an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an IC card printer (100) in which a plurality of units (101-108) for performing predetermined processing upon an IC card are disposed separately on two upper and lower stages and printing and coating to the IC card are performed by executing the predetermined processing in the units. The IC card printer comprises a drop unit (103) for sending an IC card processed in units (101, 102) disposed on the upper stage, among the plurality of units, to units (106, 107) disposed on the lower stage and a writing unit (104) disposed above the drop unit (103) for writing predetermined electronic information onto the IC card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
