<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device capable of enhancing wearing operability of a seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt device is provided with a webbing 3; a tongue plate 5 movably provided on the webbing 3 and having a gripping part 5A gripped by an occupant and an engagement part 5B extending from the gripping part 5A; and a buckle 6 to/from which the engagement part 5B of the tongue plate 5 is engageably inserted/removed.
