<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a tape cartridge so as not to be protruded from an opening of a tape cartridge container. <P>SOLUTION: Immediately before the tape cartridge container 401 lowers along the outer periphery of a pulley 386Y1, a semispherical projection 470 relatively advances into the opening 422 of the tape cartridge container 401. Thus, the opening side end face of the tape cartridge 10 is brought into slidable contact so as to be on the semispherical projection 470 and it is pressurized to the cartridge housing space 405 of the tape cartridge container 401. Thus, when the end part of the tape cartridge 10 is projected from the opening 422 of the tape cartridge container 401, it is brought into slidable contact with the semispherical projection 470 and is pushed back into the cartridge housing space 405.
