<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically start the reproduction of content congenial to user's taste without any operation by the user after reproduction of the content based on a play list selected by the user is completed. <P>SOLUTION: According to the list selected by the user, the reproduction is started with a content A and ended with a content G. After a predetermined time from the end of the reproduction of the content G, an auto-play play list prepared beforehand based on, for example, the reproduction history of the reproducing device is retrieved using the content G as a seed content. For example, if a content in agreement with the seed content in ID is retrieved by the auto-play play list, the auto play is started in the auto-play play list using the next content of the content as a reproduction start content.
