PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysilane having remarkably excellent heat-resistance, a method for producing the polysilane and a resin composition containing the polysilane. SOLUTION: A structural unit expressed by formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen atom or a substituent; and n is an integer of ≥1) is introduced into a polysilane by reacting a dihalosilane having a silicon-hydrogen bond (Si-H bond) with another halosilane. In the formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>may be an alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an aryl group. The ratio of the structural unit expressed by formula (1) in the polysilane may be 25-90 mol% or thereabout in terms of silicon atom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
