PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously achieve impact cushioning and fixation/holding while being easily reusable. SOLUTION: This cushioning member for containers is inserted in the housing section of a container, and is used for fixing-holding packed articles being housed in the housing section while performing impact cushioning. The cushioning member for container comprises a plate-like member which has an outer peripheral end section of a shape which can be fitted on the housing section, and is equipped with flexibility and elasticity. The plate-like member is equipped with an interference section which is formed in such a manner that at least part of the outer peripheral end section projects more outward than the inner peripheral dimension which is formed by the internal wall surface of the housing section.
