PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine speed from being excessively reduced in deceleration associated with turning-off of a clutch. SOLUTION: This engine control device is provided with: a detection part 63 of the number of revolutions capable of detecting the number of revolutions of an engine; a main throttle opening sensor 39 capable of detecting that a main throttle valve 40 for regulating an intake air flow rate to the engine is not opened; a clutch sensor 34 capable of detecting the state of the clutch 26; and a control part 64 for controlling the opening of the main throttle valve 40 so as to set it larger than that in idling when it is detected that the engine speed is above a predetermined value, the main throttle valve 40 is not opened and the clutch 26 is in a cut-off state.
