PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a CI value to a low value, and to secure stable temperature characteristics by further miniaturizing a piezoelectric device for mounting a tuning fork type piezoelectric vibration piece and eliminating inconveniences by a temperature characteristic dip phenomenon. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric vibrator 1, the turning fork type quartz oscillation piece, having a base section 8, a plurality of vibration arms 9, 10 extended in parallel from the base section, and arms 13, 14 for fixation extended in parallel with the vibration arms from the base section, is fixed and supported by sticking the arms for fixation to the base at a mount section. In the piezoelectric vibrator 1, the position, length, or hardness of the mount section is set so that the natural frequency of the bending vibration of the vibration arms differs from that of in-phase vibration generated in the thickness direction of the vibration piece within a prescribed operating temperature range, when the vibration piece is excited.
