PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception control method of a mobile terminal and an apparatus thereof for improving delays in a two-phase standby operation for waiting for a standby for reception of radio waves from two base stations, such as a public base station and private base station of business site. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 20 is provided with a control section 21, together with an antenna 23 and a receiving section 22. The control section 21 includes timers 21A and 21B for setting timing of an A wave and a B wave from a pair of base stations 30A and 30B, respectively. Reception instructions are transmitted to a receiving section 22, on the basis of the set values of the timers 21A and 21B, and alternate receiving processing or normal receiving processing is executed, on the basis of a result of determination of a collision state of the A and B waves.
