PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen disappearance of photographed image, as much as possible, when the photographed image is transferred by radio communication. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (100) has an image sensor (14) for photographing an image and outputting its image data, a memory (30) for storing that image data, a medium (200) for recording the image data stored in the memory, and means (110, 112) for communicating with an image processor (300), wherein a decision is made as to whether the recording medium is available (S135, S145), and then a decision is made as to whether the image data is remaining in the recording medium (S136, S146). Photography is inhibited, if the recording medium is unavailable for use and there are image data remaining in the memory during communication with the image processor through the communication means (S137, S138, S147, S148), and when photography is not inhibited, image data obtained by photography is transferred to the image processor (S161).
