PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display medium which attains a reversible display, has a memory property, is especially high in contrast and resolution, is high in response speed, is high in material selectivity, is satisfactory in long term stability and can secure safety in actual use, and to provide an image display device which uses the image display medium, and is power-thrifty and high in visibility. SOLUTION: The image display medium is provided with dispersion liquid (5) at least containing self-dispersible white fine particles (4), self-dispersible colored fine particles (3) and a nonpolar solvent between two conductive layers (1), (2) arranged by providing a desired interval and at least one or both have optical transparency.
