PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket 1 in which a reaction force P<SB>2</SB>generating in the fitted state is set to a low level without reducing the collapsed tolerance of the gasket 1 in the rubber-like elastic body gasket 1 held between two members 21, 22 facing each other to seal between the two members 21, 22. SOLUTION: Folded shapes 2 realizing a bent mode by converting compressive forces by the two members 21, 22 into bending moments M<SB>1</SB>, M<SB>2</SB>are formed on gasket side surface parts 1a, 1b. The folded shapes 2 are formed in an S-shape in cross section by smoothly continuing recessed parts 3, 6 with projecting parts 4, 5.
