PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent degradation caused by exposure of a noise controller, and maintaining the durability of the noise controller while sufficiently demonstrating the road noise reduction effect. SOLUTION: The assembly 1 of the pneumatic tire and the rim has a strip-like noise controller 4 fixed in a tire cavity i and extending in the tire circumferential direction. The noise controller 4 comprises a noise control body 10 consisting of a sponge having the volume of 0.4-20% of the total volume of the tire cavity i, and a protective layer 11 for covering the surface of noise controller 10 consisting of a shading resin film 12 and adhered to the surface of the noise controller 10 via adhesive.
