PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer device capable of raising the temperature of a printing head to an objective temperature in a short time even in the case that an atmospheric temperature around the printing head is lower than the temperature of the printing head while reducing a number of parts. SOLUTION: The printer device (a thermal transfer printer) is equipped with the printing head 2 having a heating element 2d, a temperature detecting element chip 28, a temperature table 23g, and a control section 23a determining corresponding voltage pulse width data of the temperature table 23g based on the detected temperature by the temperature detecting element chip 28 and applying the voltage pulse of the determined voltage pulse width data to the heating element 2d before printing. A voltage pulse is applied to the heating element 2d by the control section 23a increasing the determined voltage pulse width data by "4" in the case that a temperature rise near the heating element 2d is lower than 1°C in 0.5 s when applying the voltage pulse of the determined voltage pulse width to the heating element by the control section 23a.
