PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method and a coating device capable of suppressing the occurrence of the teapot phenomenon in a slide-hopper curtain coating. SOLUTION: In the coating method, a rod-shape conductive member 5 is disposed opposite to a freely falling curtain film 1 and in parallel to the width direction of the freely falling curtain film 1, wherein the curtain film 1 is applied while a voltage is applied to the rod-shape conductive member 5. The coating device comprises: the rod-shape conductive member 5 disposed opposite to the freely falling curtain film 1 and in parallel to the width direction of the freely falling curtain film 1; and a power source device 6 of applying a voltage to the rod-shape conductive member 5.
