A method of producing a combustion chamber component for a vehicle heater unit comprises preparing the chamber housing (12) and a flow tube (32) of such contour and diameter that they can be pushed together and have circumferences (14) in contact in one region (52) and separated in another region (54). The components are pushed together, solder (58) is placed in the contact region and then heated. An independent claim is also included for a method of connecting a flame tube for the combustion chamber component as above.
