<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of suitably performing reproduction and recording to both surfaces of an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk device 100, between an upper guide part 10a and a lower guide part 10b provided respectively in parallel with both front and back surfaces of the optical disk D, a head transfer means 30 transfers an optical head 20 in a direction roughly vertical to the guide parts, and thus the optical head 20 is transferred in a shorter transfer route between the pair of guide parts 10. Also, a mirror 20c for changing the optical path of light so that the light output by the light source of the optical head 20 turns to the front surface or back surface of the optical disk D is provided. The light whose optical path is changed by the mirror 20c is converged to the front and back information recording surfaces of the optical disk D by an objective lens, and the optical head 20 reproduces and records information from/to the information recording surfaces by moving in the radial direction of the optical disk D along the guide parts 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
